One's journey in the last wilderness on the planet is as challenging as the moody weather it offers. It is neither minutes nor hours that set the track and schedule - it may take days to wait for the blizzard or katabatic wind (from the Greek 'kata' meaning downwards) to end.

In the 120-day expedition, much of the journey is based on the weather and the soil conditions. The average distance that they need to cover is about 32km. The irony is in relation to the team's method of crossing, they will need mild wind to allow them to windsail or ski to their final destination.

The 2005/2006 timeline will be posted soon.
