Overview

In Antarctica, the weather won't be as hot and humid as Malaysia's. In Antarctica, the weather is so cold that it chills one's bones to the heart. In Antarctica, it's the place where 2 Malaysians are going to set world records.

Foreword by Dr. M. Kamaruddin

I joined "The Millenium Jump 2000" Expedition in Patriot Hill, Antarctica, I met a few expedition members from other countries who have successfully walked to the South Pole - a 1,100km journey from Patriot Hill. I admired their aspiration and their courage which, from then onwards, I wanted to return to The Ice in near future with a more challenging expedition - and it will be more historic than "The Millenium Jump 2000" Expedition. Hence, I started to plan, conduct my research and sending my proposal to Minister of Youth and Sports. Concurrently, my friends and I started to prepare ourselves and wait for the opportunities to step on the soil of Antarctica. Our physical and mental training has begun since 2001.

, a few months back, our 4th Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir, has openly challenged the Malaysian countrymen to traverse across Antarctica. This challenge was made in a press conference to celebrate the success of Abdul Malik Mydin who has succeeded in his quest to swim from Kuala Perlis to Langkawi on 25th May 2003.

came at the right time - we have already prepared ourselves and were eager to begin our expedition. In every aspect, we feel confident - we know we can do it. With the blessing and support from our countrymen, we hope we can cross the Antarctic continent safely and send our Jalur Gemilang flying proudly at the South Pole. We dedicate our success as our tribute to Dr. Mahathir for his labour of love to make Malaysia a Muhibbah Malaysia.
