Explore Antarctica Expedition: Crossing of the Antarctica Continent

Foreword

In November 2005, another history will be made by a team of 2 Malaysians for embarking on a journey to cross Antarctica. Many have reached the South Pole, but it is an achievement that can be attained with wealth and stamina less than those who have walked across the continent. This time around, Dr. M Kamaruddin Md Isa and Encik Suhardi Alias will traverse the foreign land in the continuation of 'Malaysia Boleh' spirit.

A Tribute to Tun Dr. Mahathir

"One the reasons for crossing the Antarctic continent is to pay a tribute to Tun Dr. Mahathir, who retired in October 2003. A few months before, Dr. Mahathir has openly challenged the countrymen to cross the continent by foot after the congratulating the nation's marathon swimmer, Abdul Malik Mydin back in May 2003.
